Flu Vaccinations for 2021
Updated 02 September 2021
The surgery is in the process of arranging flu clinics for eligible patients and those patients will shortly receive invite letters to vaccination clinics. As per government guidance, we are prioritising patients in the usual risk groups.
The surgery team are actively reviewing and managing clinics so we can ensure we have enough vaccines for those invited. If you are in a risk group, you will receive an invite to a clinic. Please do your best to attend as it is important to receive your vaccination.
Flu clinics will be running in 1 hour blocks throughout the day. If you cannot attend the 1 hour block you are invited to, please do not ring the surgery to let us know and/or try to rebook for another time.
We will be running reports regularly to ensure those who could not attend are offered another opportunity to attend a flu clinic - do not worry! We have clinics scheduled over the next three months and we will see all eligible patients.
More information about flu vaccine supplies can be found on the Government website
Vaccinations for 50-64 year olds not in a risk group
As you may be aware, the government have advised that 50-64 year olds not in a recognised clinical 'at risk' group will be able to have a free flu vaccination again this year.
If you fall into this category, please do not ring the surgery to try and book an appointment to have the vaccination. We are confident we have secured enough additional vaccines for this group but will be vaccinating the priority groups before moving on to this group.
Thank you, as always, for your patience and understanding.
