I want to mention Dr Victoria Brown, who has gone above and beyond and I am very grateful. However, I feel that for my husband and I, (mid 40s) we are lacking in support - health checks cancelled, not put as priority over the young or elderly and smears checks cancelled. This may not necessarily be the fault of the practice but perhaps where the NHS is lacking as a whole.

We have found the team at westcourt to be both helpful and caring even though their resources are under extreme duress at this time. My only feedback is if text messages could be a more explicit in terms of what the appointment (i.e blood test, gp appointment , phone call) s for as this would prevent me from having to ring to find out details of the appointment as the appointment details are not visible on system.online . If appointments are planned the messages make sense it is when they have been booked by gp/nurse without prior warning it is confusing.

I went for my regular blood test, which I was seen on time by the plbotonist, who was professional and cheerful, which makes the occasion more of a pleasure than a chore. The only comment I have is we’re the blood pressure equipment is it is so busy you can not relax I even had someone start taking to me it needs to be somewhere quiet and I was unable to do my blood pressure so what’s the point so do I need to make appointments just for that I did ask the nurse she said I only have five minutes so don’t have time I think this system needs to be reviewed

Good practice. But if you have a health check or blood test, then you have to wait nearly 3 months to see your gp to discuss any concerns about it. Or getting symptoms that are worrying you, and you wait so many weeks to see your gp, that is extremely concerning, and depressing. What if someone has a serious issue? It could be too late by then! E Consult is no good if you don't have a tablet or laptop..!

I would not recommend any GPs practice in the area, as all are part of a broken system, too much cutting of corners, not consulting with patients and actively listening/actioning their concerns. The automated answering machine has lots of options to choose from and if there is a high number of callers for appointments they offer a call back service, which is very good. Not always easy to get a face to face appointment with a doctor but the paramedics are very good.

In the time since registering with this practice seeing a GP has become difficult. Sadly continuity of care no longer seems to be the norm. In my experience actually seeing a doctor is unlikly these days. The telephone reception staff members do try so hard to provide the best possible service. Nursing staff members also try to provide an equally good service. Hence my recommendation being neither fully posative nor fully negative.

When you get to see someone the sevice is ok but having to wait for up to 12weeks for an appointment is not any good. The GP service in the UK has been broken for at least 15 years and the NHS dental services are non existent and we are forced to pay £200 a year each for a checkup and polish.

Care was very personal and without a huge delay of contact. Dr Middleton made every effort to support me over various medical issues and explained things to me more than adequately. This is a good practice trying to find its way through difficult times, with the resources issues post Covid 19. Reception staff seem well trained to find out the basics of medical issues from patients and relay these issues to appropriate Doctors.

I had to attend the practice to show that I was still ALIVE ( for my Greek pension)and stand in front of the receptionist and sign a form to say that I was alive !!!!!!!! And then pay £25 for a letter to be issued from the doctor ……and told that this could take up to 30 days to be issued. How ridiculous

Phoned in for my Mother...clearly said that she could not currently get out to the surgery,then received a phone call back a few hours later offering her a face to face appointment....what was the point in having phoned in earlier?. I/We have nearly always been accommodated with appointments as we NEVER bother the Surgery unless we feel it absolutely necessary. We understand we are not the ONLY PATIENTS and are happy to fit in when we can with other patients needs. We were appalled during the Vaccination process at the way some patients shouted at the staff on a Saturday morning and one young nurse ended up in tears. We consoled her at the time and I did turn up on the Monday morning with doughnuts to hopefully show the staff that we as patients had respect for the staff

Asked for certain tests, was told would be testing for certain ones then when it came to the tests they didn’t test for what we was looking for and a urine sample was good enough even though the doctor said it’s not accurate for what we was looking for. Admin is shocking. I had more stress sorting out my prescription than actually having my heart attack. On 22 November I get a reminder about a blood test for liver function. Response from medical staff at appointment not rushed, diagnosis usually found, with treatment explained in a way you can understand. However if not then refered promptly to other services within NHS. Having only lived within the area for eighteen months, I am able to compare the trust here with another. All I can say is though a recent referral, I finally have a diagnosis after 26 years. Which has made a positive impact on my health. The only problem I have had is setting up the on line portal but that is through mu lack of computer skills. Therefore i worry that others may experience this also.

No one really likes being unwell so whenever you have helpful reception staff who do their best to find you an appointment it’s very much appreciated. To then see a Doctor who shows genuine interest in trying to getting to the cause of your illness is extremely reassuring.

I have needed quite a number of appointments this year and although I may have to wait a while for one the nurses and GPs I have seen listened to my concerns and have really helped me on my journey back to getting well again.

It is difficult to see a doctor. I have only ever seen a paramedic. The best service is the online one. I have received quite prompt and satisfactory responses including arranging for a prescription at the chemist for me to collect.

The doctor had to leave some wax in one ear, which I said was painful. I expected another appointment to be soon but when I phoned up I was told I was again at the back of the list

Very difficult to see he same Gp or any gp. Time wasted on phone consultations for eg ear infections when patient has record of infections. Finally after 2cyears of dishing out antibiotics pills and sprays a n aspiration apptment reveals bacteria and fungus in. Had a face to face apptmennt been given orinally it would not have wasted hours on phone getting appointments, waiting for return calls and masses of earsprays and minor antibiotics(known to be bad when regularly taken ) approx 5 times in past 2 years! Waste of money too. Many other similar incidents over time. Understand the numbers of G ps is too low at the practice.

Staff do not pay attention to messages left regarding contact numbers. I was supposedly called on a Wednesday afternoon (on an old number we have asked to not be on record. I now have to wait until January to have an appointment for my son which was supposed to have had an urgent 2 week referral for a scan. We have not had this and have no idea why we need this 2nd appointment. My son still has the problem but we have got no where and now will have to wait until January

My mother has been trying to reach your receptionist by phone for nearly three weeks now to try and make an appointment for a blood test. Every time she gets down to the last person in the queue the phone goes dead. She is nearly 80 years old and is not able to access on line. She also was called for her flu vaccine, however, when she turned up at 08:30 on a Saturday morning she was told the vaccine had run out! How is this even possible, why wasn’t she contacted, surely you must have know you did t have enough vaccine on Friday? She is getting quite frail and I love over an hour away, I am deeply concerned about my mothers ability to access your services.

I would say 'unlikely' but there is little good alternative. Once contacted, the staff are pleasant and professional. The problem is making contact in the first place. We were being told to call at less busy times if not urgent, so I do. When I call today I hear that the less busy time is now too busy as staff are dealing with administration! Communication is very weak and I feel like a second-class citizen for needing, daring to try to contact the surgery. The tone in recorded messages are terse, officious, and unwelcoming. I need medications and I now need to make an appointment to replace an appointment cancelled BY the surgery in July when they said that they would contact ME to remake an appointment! Test results ordered by a GP show, from my own research, that I am now type 2 diabetic, and have been since early summer, at least. The replacement appointment was never made by the surgery and I remain formally undiagnosed and, consequently untreated. We hear that there is a shortage of GPs but these are administrative tasks that do NOT require an £80K p.a. GP to resolve. Administration is so full of cracks my guess is that a lot of other patients are also falling through them. It is not the medical treatment that is failing, nor the front-of house staff (who are professional and friendly), it seems that it is the management of the administrative services that is not up to par, and people are suffering as a result. Somehow, I suspect that these comments will not get published, anonymously, on your website, despite ticking the box...

I usually use the NHS App to order repeat prescriptions. On Saturday, 29th May I went to order 3 items, but the app wouldn't allow me, as the items needed to be reviewed by a clinician. Therefore, on Tuesday, 1st June I phoned the surgery and explained the situation, that I needed 3 items of which one I had only just over a week's left, as I only get 28 day's worth at a time. I also asked if that could be increased to 56 day's worth in line with my other items. By the next Tuesday, the app was still showing the items as awaiting for review, but as I was due for a call from the doctor that afternoon, I thought I would wait and speak to him. I then got a call to say the doctor wouldn't be able to make the call that day and they could fit me in again on 1st July!! I asked about my prescription and was told that nothing had been done. I explained that it was getting urgent as I only had a few days left of the one medication. They said it would be pushed through as an urgent matter, but another 2 days later and nothing further has happened, as the pharmacy checked for me.

Becky was directed to sexual health clinic and enquired how long she would need to wait in weeks or months as she also suffers badly with urinary track issues and Mandy just told her there are 30 people in front of her and put the phone down. Being rude to people in distress is very poor and something I would expect a receptionist to understand.

Poor communication to patients with regard to who would be calling them to offer covid vaccine. I have heard many complaints from elderly patients they were getting calls from numbers they didn't recognise so they didn't answer and are now concerned they have missed an appointment. I know you have since put out a message re this but unfortunately too little too late to stop their anxiety. Then they hear the army are helping with the demand but they are still waiting. As Fitzalan and Angmering /Coppice are way ahead of the game it might be prudent to ask for some help maybe?

I had a return call from a very nice lady Paramedic and my apologies for not remembering her name. She diagnosed an injury to my foot and recommended me to have it x-rayed. I attended the memorial Hospital in Bognor Regis in the Minor Injuries department, who confirmed a small fracture on a bone in my foot. My sincere thanks to the Westcourt Paramedic who was superb and the hospital for their care and attention. What a fantastic NHS we have, you are all a credit to our service.
