Diabetes
DESMOND
It is recommended that if you are diagnosed with diabetes, you attend a DESMOND course to find out ways to enable you to manage your diabetes.
DESMOND stands for Diabetes Education and Self-Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed. It’s usually a small group of people with their partner or family member or friend held at a local venue over one day or two half days. The day is led by diabetes educators who are trained to deliver you with honest, up to date, evidence based information to give you options to manage your diabetes.
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust hold these courses at venues across West Sussex.
Please ask your Practice Nurse for contact details to book your place.
